Why Solar Panel Cleaning Increases Output by Up to 30%

Solar panels are only as productive as the light reaching their cells. In dusty urban environments, a film builds within weeks.

Measured output drops of 20–30% are common on panels that have not been washed for a season, and shading from droppings can disable an entire string.

Cleaning must be done with soft brushes and deionised water. Hard tap water leaves mineral marks, and abrasive pads scratch the anti-reflective coating.

Panels should be washed early morning or after sunset when the glass is cool, to avoid thermal stress.
